Another day in the ol’ rat race…
Recently I stepped away from SL and haven’t been blogging since as of a week ago I found out my son who is 4 has Autism. I started another blog that is just a place for me to blog about our journey. My adult daughter has severe bi-polar, depression, anger explosive disorder and PTSD. Just as I was trying to get a handle on her bi-polar I get the diagnoses of my son’s autism. When it rains it pours! I still enjoy peeking in to keep in touch with the fashions of those I follow and hope to be back to it soon. SL is a place where I use just to find time to escape reality like many others. I also found out it’s a wonderful place to find information.

The name says it all about this sim. It’s a beautiful sim to hang around, take pictures, shoot the bull with friends and even ride the Ferris wheel or merry-go-round. A few small places to walk about and even an ice cream place where you can sit and have a cone. Saturday Afternoon memory- CREATURE DOUBLE FEATURE!
Creature Double Feature was a syndicated horror show, broadcast in Boston and Philadelphia are during 1970s and 1980s. The movies broadcast were taken from the classic Universal Horror movies of the 1930s to 1950s, the Hammer Studios and American International Pictures films of the 1950s, Roger Corman’s horror films of the 1950s, and Toho Studio’s “giant monster” movies of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
I can remember back and one of my fondest memories growing up was being able to see Creature Double feature every Saturday after all the cartoons were over and in the one hour between the toons and CDF I watched Lost in Space. There was no where else to go to see all the great B rated horror movies of all times where you felt secure and safe except your own livingroom.
Anyone that watched it remembers the ending of The Mummy and how he sank into the bog. It very cool and powerful back then. Who could forget the movies like, Journey to the seventh planet, Dracula VS Frankenstein, The brain eaters, The She creature, Cat People and don’t be afraid of the dark, The pit and the pendulum, The Invisible man, The Incredible shrinking man, The masque of red death I believe my favorite was the original Night of the living dead. I can remember when I watched the Godzilla movies and the words never matched the movement of the lips, but it didn’t matter I was there again the following Saturday to watch again. Eventually like everything, all good things must come to an end yet; there are so many others like myself that are so thankful we have DVDs of these old great flicks to keep Creature Double Feature alive!
